Antique Indian Style Standing Bronze Brahma 6 Arm - Hindu God Creation - 58cm/23"
Measurements H58cm (23")
An antique Indian style standing Brahma with 6 arms.
Brahma is the Hindu God of Creation and one of the Trimurti, the others being Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma's four faces look North, South, East and West. His hands hold no weapons, rather symbols of knowledge and creation.
In one hand he holds the sacred texts of Vedas, in a second he holds a ball, symbolizing time, in a third he holds a sruva or shruk (a ladle) symbolizing the feeding of sacrificial fire, and in the fourth a kamandalu, a utensil with water symbolizing where all creation emanates from. His remaining two hands are held together in adoration pose.
The casting is beautiful as you can see in the fine details of each face. Each detail is rendered perfectly. Traditional in appearance, the sculpture will bring serenity and timeless style to your home, office or sacred space.
